Pilot programme
Kortex is sold through scoped pilots: thirty days, one standing question your team already asks every week, founder-led. This page describes exactly what a pilot is — and how to verify us before you ever get on a call.
What Kortex is
A queryable graph of the world's energy and infrastructure system — power plants, grids, substations, pipelines, ports, dams, mineral deposits — connected to the legal entities that operate and ultimately own them, GLEIF-anchored. The facts are public; the connections are the product. Every response carries per-field provenance (source, method, kind, date) and an audit tier, so an answer can be defended, not just repeated.
Who pilots are for
- Siting and power-origination teams — interconnection-queue congestion, grid stress, water risk and demand context on candidate regions, in one screen.
- Infrastructure credit and energy-transition funds — pre-diligence screening: who operates each asset, who ultimately owns the operator, and what the asset is exposed to.
- Agent and AI-platform teams in energy — a deterministic, provenance-attached tool surface over MCP, with a machine-readable manifest an agent can onboard itself from.
- Event-driven and macro teams — fast exposure mapping: from an event to the affected assets, operators, ultimate parents and listed tickers in one traversal.
- Development-finance and export-credit screening units — compound exposure (water × conflict × governance × ownership) with the audit trail reviewers require.
What a pilot includes
- Scope written down first. The pilot is defined by one standing question in your words, with success criteria agreed in the first call.
- Full API access under a scoped, revocable key with a credit allowance sized to the evaluation. Every response reports its own metered cost; usage is visible to both sides.
- A weekly 30-minute working session with the people who operate the system — questions answered by the builders, not a success team.
- A fixed-term pilot agreement covering scope, keys, usage limits, confidentiality and fees. Standard drafts available on request; procurement questions are answered at /trust.
- Pilots are paid. Fees are agreed per pilot and credited against a first annual contract.
Pilot packages
Five pre-scoped starting points, one per buyer type. Each card is a forwardable link — send it to the person who owns that question and the scope on it becomes the first-call agenda, tailored to your book, your regions, your eval set. All pilots share the common core above: thirty days, paid, founder-led, success criteria written down first.
Siting & power origination
"Where can we actually connect — and what will bite us there?"
For siting and grid-connection leads at data-centre developers, IPP origination desks and power-first consultancies. We re-screen one live siting shortlist: interconnection-queue congestion, substation proximity — the graph binds 5,800+ existing data-centre facilities to their nearest substation with distance on the edge — plus water stress, conflict and demand context per candidate region, in one traversal.
Succeeds if: it changes or confirms your shortlist ranking, with evidence your team keeps either way.

Pre-diligence ownership & exposure screening
"Before we pay for full advisory — who actually owns this asset, and what is it exposed to?"
For analyst-team leads at infrastructure credit and energy-transition funds. We re-screen one recently completed diligence end-to-end: operator, ultimate parent (GLEIF-anchored), and the asset's physical exposures — every answer carrying per-field provenance and an audit tier.
Succeeds if: Kortex surfaces at least one material fact your process missed, or matches its findings in under 10% of the time it took.

Ground truth for energy agents
"How do we stop our agent hallucinating infrastructure facts?"
For founders and CTOs of energy-domain agent products. Your agent gets a deterministic, provenance-attached tool surface over MCP, with a machine-readable manifest it can onboard itself from. The pilot runs your agent against a fixed eval set of infrastructure questions, answered with Kortex citations.
Succeeds on: your eval pass-rate delta — measured on your harness, not ours.

Event-to-exposure mapping
"An event just happened — what is exposed, who owns it, how big?"
For event-driven and macro pods trading energy and infrastructure. From a sanctions package, grid incident or conflict-adjacent event to the affected assets, operators, ultimate parents and listed tickers in one traversal — with audit tiers saying where we are less sure, so the desk knows the difference between wrong and unaccountable.
Succeeds if: exposure mapping on a live event during the pilot window is faster and better-evidenced than your current process.

Compound-exposure screening
"Does this project carry compound exposure — water × conflict × governance × ownership — we must document?"
For E&S and compound-risk screening units at DFIs, export-credit agencies, and the consultancies serving them. One project portfolio screened for stacked exposures with the per-field audit trail reviewers require, including where the data is thin — stated on the wire, not discovered later.
Succeeds if: the screening output is documentable in your review format with fewer manual lookups than today.

Verify us before you talk to us
- /validation — six studies checking Kortex outputs against live GLEIF records, published LBNL research, SEC filings, EIA-860 and the issuers' own Exhibit 21 filings — with the misses published alongside the passes.
- /trust — security posture, data protection, availability and commercial terms, stated plainly, including what we do not yet have.
- /licensing and /sources — per-source commercial rights and cadence, including sources still under review.
- /schema — the live schema, introspected hourly from the running system.
- Three demo queries run live on the homepage with no account; pricing is machine-readable at
/.well-known/kortex.json.
Stated plainly: Kortex is an early-stage product from Orkora Ltd, founder-led. Answers are screening-grade with the uncertainty expressed on the wire — audit tiers say where we are less sure, and our validation studies publish the failures as well as the passes. If your gate requires certifications we do not yet hold, /trust says so explicitly and we will discuss timelines honestly.
Starting a pilot
Write to kortex@orkora.com with the standing question your team asks — a sentence is enough. You will get a reply from the person who built the graph, usually the same business day, with a proposed pilot scope and a demo against your actual question rather than a canned one.
