# Kortex

Every REST family above is reachable by an agent through MCP, or is listed as a
deliberate exemption with its reason. That parity is checked nightly against the
live OpenAPI and the live tool manifest, so this list cannot quietly fall behind
what the server actually offers. The authoritative tool list is always
/.well-known/kortex.json — it is generated, never hand-written.

## Contracts that matter to agents
- Billing: credits; per-category floors; EVERY channel settles max(floor, delivered-output
  value) at the same field weights; provenance metadata is never billed. Hard 402 gate
  re-checks actual cost before delivery; blocked responses bill nothing. Free cost
  preview: MCP tool kortex_cost_preview.
- Rights: ?rights_mode=commercial_safe fails closed (409 + blocking_sources) when any
  contributing source is not commercially cleared. Evaluation mode disclosed on-row.
- Receipts: envelope-bearing answers carry a retrievable receipt (GET /v2/receipts/{id});
  cite receipts, not screenshots; the frozen answer replays.
- Absence is disclosed (present=false), never interpolated. Contradicted data is
  quarantined and documented, never silently deleted.
